As I wrote in my previous post about the trip, we visited the Catherene Palace few days after our arrival and I was little dissapointed by the experience. In the middle of our trip we went for three days to Peterhof, to truly enjoy the palace and the parks surrounding it.
You first enter the Upper park, that is relatively small, it has few beautiful fountains and lots of greenery.
Afterwards you buy a ticket to the lower park and then you enter a fairytale, filled with tourists from all over the world.
I would recomment to go inside the palace, as it is magnificent. I loved it much more than the Catherine Palace in Tsarskoe Selo. You cannot take photographs inside *shame* but the rooms are spectacular, and they have some decoration pieces sonce the time of Peter the Great himself.
Park that is surround the palace is enormous, full of fountains and flowers, at the end to reach the Finnish Gulf. I could have spend hours there,as i did,we went back three days in a row because of how beautiful it is.
Now I am more than interested in Peter the Great, cause a person who did all this had to be exceptional.
